The JCE Lighting LED troffer retrofit kit provides a practical way to upgrade existing fluorescent troffer fixtures without replacing the complete ceiling housing or removing the surrounding T-grid. Available in 1×4, 2×2 and 2×4 sizes, the retrofit kit is designed for offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail spaces and other commercial interiors.

Field-selectable wattage and selectable 3500K, 4000K and 5000K color temperatures allow contractors and facility managers to configure the light output and appearance during installation. Standard and sensor-ready configurations are available depending on the selected size and SKU.

Retrofit Existing Fluorescent Troffers

The retrofit kit installs inside an existing fluorescent troffer housing. During installation, the original lamps, lamp holders, ballast covers and other obsolete fluorescent components are removed while the existing ceiling grid and compatible fixture housing remain in place.

The LED door assembly attaches to the supplied end brackets and safety cables. The line, neutral and grounding conductors are then connected according to the installation instructions. Installation must be performed with the incoming power disconnected and in accordance with applicable electrical codes.

Field-Selectable Wattage

Each model provides three selectable wattage settings. The installer can select the appropriate output based on room size, ceiling height, required light level and energy target. This helps distributors and contractors reduce the number of fixed-wattage products required for inventory.

Disconnect power before changing the wattage or CCT selector. Securely close the selector compartment before restoring power.

Select 3500K, 4000K or 5000K

• 3500K: Soft neutral-white illumination for offices, healthcare facilities and comfort-focused commercial environments.
• 4000K: Neutral-white illumination for classrooms, retail spaces, conference rooms and general commercial interiors.
• 5000K: Daylight-white illumination for task-oriented workspaces and commercial areas where a brighter visual appearance is preferred.

0–10V Dimming

The fixture supports compatible 0–10V commercial dimming controls. Dimming can help facilities adjust light levels, implement energy-saving schedules and integrate the retrofit kit into compatible building lighting-control systems.

Standard and Sensor-Ready Options

Selected sizes are available with 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm sensor bases for compatible plug-and-play occupancy and daylight sensors. The sensor-ready option allows sensors to be installed in the field without replacing the complete retrofit kit.

A sensor-base configuration does not necessarily include the sensor itself. Confirm the compatible sensor model, control functions and package contents before ordering.

Low-Glare Commercial Illumination

The white metal frame and polycarbonate diffuser are designed to distribute light evenly while reducing visible LED hot spots, harsh shadows and glare. The wide distribution is suitable for general ambient lighting in commercial and institutional spaces.

1×4 Fixture Dimensions and Housing Compatibility

The dimensions above apply to the documented 1×4 model. Request the applicable dimension drawing and installation instructions for the 2×2 or 2×4 model before approving a commercial project.
